Initial Screen:

This may be the only screen that you need to use. You are given three choices:

  • Let foof pick what content is displayed,
  • You pick what content is displayed
  • Don't display anything - just block ads

If you let foof pick, foof will select a variety of appropriate content to replace the various size ads. Then you are done. Just click Finish and start using foof. If you want to tune the selections later, use the foof menu on the browser page. If you wish to pick the content, then select You Pick what content is displayed and click Next. The following screen will be displayed. If you just want ad blocking, the select Don't display anything and click Finish, then you are done. You may, at any time, change your mind and use the foof menu on the browser to make content selections.

Content Screen:

You get to this screen if you decided to pick the content to be displayed. You then choose the types of content you want from:

  • Relevant News
  • Relevant Videos
  • Relevant Wikipedia articles
  • Relevant blog posts
  • Photos from Flickr

You can optionally select your public photos (by optionally including your Flickr screen name, or, other peoples public photos with their screen name) or just let us choose the top Flickr photos. You can even optionally filter the photo list using tags. Tags are separated by commas. If you want more control, after setting the content types, click on Advanced Options.

Advanced Screen:

You get to this screen when you click on Advanced Options, on the previous screen.

On this screen, you get to choose the priority order of the content display.

If more than one of the content types you selected on the previous screen are available for a given ad space size, the priority order helps decide which content type is shown.

This is a drag and drop mechanism. Just move the mouse over the content type and drag it to where you want it. The higher in the list a content type is, the higher the chance that it will be displayed. Of course, if there is no relevant content available for that page, the next content type in the list will be examined for relevant content, etc. Note: Any future alteration of the content type selections will reset the Content Display Order.
